Bryan Danielson could be stripped of the World Title for a huge reason, reveals AEW star

A current All Elite star recently stated that the current AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson could be stripped of his title for one reason. The star shared a post on social media.

The AEW star in question is none other than Nigel McGuinness. Nigel made his in-ring return during the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In 2024 after being out of action for over a decade. He recently challenged Bryan Danielson to a match at Grand Slam next week on Dynamite.

The match has been announced on the condition that Bryan should be medically cleared to compete after All Out. Nigel has been calling out The American Dragon since challenging him but fans are yet to get a reaction from Bryan. Meanwhile, McGuinness shared a rumor regarding the champion in his recent post.

Nigel took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that The American Dragon might be stripped of his AEW World Title if he doesn't face McGuinness next week at Grand Slam. Nigel said the following in the video he shared:

"We're seven days to go from Gand Slam and the fragile countdown counting down still, the American coward yet to give any indication of he'll face me at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Well, I did hear a rumor Bryan that if you don't show up, you might be stripped of the title. So, if that's the case, let me ask you, is not losing to me or me proving I should have all your success really more important than the AEW World Title?"

Bryan Danielson recently provided a health update

Ahead of his announced match with Nigel McGuinness next week at Grand Slam, Bryan Danielson revealed that he still needs neck surgery. During an interview with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Bryan stated the following:

“So the neck issues are very similar. Sooner rather than later, I’ll need neck surgery. I’m not losing strength, so I don’t need it just yet.”

Henceforth, it remains to be seen if The American Dragon shows up for his match against Nigel McGuinness next week on Grand Slam.
