Buddy Matthews sends a two-word message for Adam Copeland (fka Edge) after vicious assault
House of Black member Buddy Matthews has begun gloating at Adam Copeland after the stable attacked him on AEW Dynamite a few days ago. This comes almost a week before Malakai Black challenges him for his TNT Championship at Double or Nothing 2024.
A few days ago, the faction launched a well-orchestrated attack on the Rated-R Superstar during a segment meant for Malakai to address the challenge dropped to him by the champion. Not only did they launch a gruesome attack on him, but they also forcefully took away his wedding ring.
On Instagram, Buddy Matthews posted some photos from the segment, which included the House of Black laying out Adam Copeland and them standing tall. It was confirmed that Malakai Black would challenge Copeland for the TNT Championship in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match at Double or Nothing.
"Rated R," Matthews wrote.
Buddy Matthews fired another shot at Adam Copeland, referencing the Judgment Day
After they attacked him on Dynamite, Buddy Matthews made a bold claim regarding Adam Copeland. He realized that his weakness was a group of trios.
He was referencing not only the House of Black but also Judgment Day. Copeland helped form the faction but eventually was betrayed and kicked out of the group.
Matthews' fiance, Rhea Ripley, who is an integral part of Judgment Day, replied to his tweet with a devil face emoji, seemingly hinting that she, too, agreed with his sentiments.
As has been the case for some time now, the biggest issue when feuding with the House of Black has been the numbers disadvantage. Several stars have succumbed to this, and some have even needed to enlist some help to have a chance at taking the fight to them.
In Adam Copeland's case, only Kyle O'Reilly helped him this week, and that was barely enough as the former AEW World Trios Champions laid out the three. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to handle all three heading into Double or Nothing.
