Bully Ray leads charge on praising underdog AEW stable after brave actions last week
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley) recently praised a long-time AEW faction following them recently going out of their way to defend the company. This would be Dark Order.
Currently, several AEW originals are joining the fight against the Blackpool Combat Club. Some of these have gotten physical and have taken the fight to Jon Moxley and his group. In recent weeks, their numbers have increased, with several members of the locker room joining their cause.
While speaking on a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray brought up how he was intrigued with Dark Order from the moment they had made their debut in AEW. He mentioned how he believes that they remain a fan-favorite after several years.
“Remember when Dark Order first hit the scene? Man, I was in to that gimmick, I was in to that story. I thought it was different, it was interesting. I think the Dark Order guys somehow have maintained a certain amount of love from the AEW fanbase.”
He praised their involvement in the major storyline of the company, as they come off as guys who were willing to do everything to defend the company that they have stood by. He believed that they could be the spark for other major stars to join in their cause and defend the AEW locker room against The BCC.
“I like that these guys that don’t get as much TV time and aren’t around as much, are so willing to put their lives on the line for a company that they believe in, because if they’re willing to do it, then every top guy should be willing to do it also. The guy that wears the mask [Evil Uno], who’s a pretty decent talker, I can see him giving a rallying cry. Like ‘What the hell is wrong with everybody over here? If we’re willing to fight, why aren’t you willing to fight too?’” [H/T EwrestlingNews]
The Dark Order and several members of the AEW locker room formed a barricade against the BCC
At the start of AEW Dynamite this week, several members of the locker room were seen waiting in the parking lot for the Blackpool Combat Club to arrive, and they even had weapons at the ready.
Among them were Dark Order, Top Flight, and even Jeff Jarrett with his friends. For the majority of the show, they were on standby for The BCC.
However, Jon Moxley read them like a book and came in through a different entrance to launch an attack on several other major AEW stars, as they took Chuck Taylor as their latest victim.
This will not be the last we hear from the babyfaces as they'll look to finally get retribution, and make up for their lapses last week.
