Bully Ray makes a bold prediction about AEW star amid rumors of uncertain future
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently made a prediction about a rising AEW star. The star reportedly has an uncertain future with Tony Khan's promotion.
The star in question is Daniel Garcia. Several weeks after getting assaulted by Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Garcia returned to television at All In 2024 to exact revenge and cost MJF the match against Will Ospreay. This led to a grudge match between Garcia and The Salt of The Earth at the All Out pay-per-view this past Saturday. Garcia also vowed to break Maxwell's neck in their match.
The encounter between MJF and Garcia opened All Out 2024, and the two had an amazing bout. In the end, Friedman emerged victorious. Nonetheless, Garcia attempted to break the 28-year-old's neck after the match by delivering a Piledriver from the top rope. The Dragon Slayer stood tall despite losing.
Meanwhile, WWE legend Bully Ray recently claimed on Busted Open After Dark that the Tony Khan-led promotion had something planned for Daniel Garcia amid The Red Death's uncertain future. According to a recent report, the 25-year-old has yet to re-sign with AEW, and his contract is reportedly set to expire during the fall season.
"They're [AEW] priming Garcia for something. 'What?' I don't know," he said. [H/T: Wrestling INC.]
Bully Ray on the road ahead for MJF-Daniel Garcia rivalry after AEW All Out
While The Salt of The Earth defeated Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out, Bully Ray claimed that The Dragon Slayer should beat Friedman at some point to establish his position as a babyface in the company.
The veteran also said the possible scenario would help MJF showcase his true worth as a heel.
"All a great heel needs to do is get their heat back, and they can lose every single night. A great heel can lay down in the middle of that ring, get pinned every single night, but as long as they're allowed to get their heat back the next night, they'll never lose an ounce of steam. That's the most important part," he added. [H/T: Wrestling INC.]
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Daniel Garcia re-signs with the Jacksonville-based promotion in the coming weeks.
