Charlotte Flair or John Cena? Ric Flair finally picks this WWE Superstar to break his World Title record

Legendary wrestler Ric Flair has finally revealed his choice for the WWE Superstar who should break his record of 16 World Title victories. The Nature Boy recently took to his Twitter (X) account to reveal his pick between Charlotte Flair and John Cena. The former AEW star opted for The Queen as his first choice.

Both Charlotte Flair and John Cena are beloved WWE Superstars. Throughout their careers, they have faced some of the biggest names in the industry and have won multiple World Titles.

The Franchise Player is currently equal to The Nature Boy with 16 World Title reigns. Cena is a 13-time WWE Champion and a three-time World Heavyweight Champion. The Doctor of Thuganomics could break the world record during his Retirement Tour next year.

Interestingly, The Queen is a 14-time World Champion on WWE's main roster. Charlotte is a six-time RAW Women's Champion, a seven-time SmackDown Women's Champion, and a one-time Divas Champion. She is also a two-time NXT Women's Champion.

For the longest time, wrestling loyalists have been speculating about the possible conqueror of The Nature Boy's record. The former AEW star recently took to Twitter (X) and gave his honest views about the situation.

The former Evolution member stated that while his first choice would certainly be his daughter, he would be the first one to shake John Cena's hand if The Doctor of Thuganomics managed to break his record.

"My first choice would obviously be The Queen, @MsCharlotteWWE. I think the world of my friend @JohnCena, who is an incredible athlete and [a] genuine person! I will be the first person to shake his hand and congratulate him if he breaks my record, as I would for anybody who would break it. When that day comes, it will be an honor! WOOOOO!" Ric wrote.

Is former WWE Champion John Cena retiring from the squared circle?

John Cena made a shocking appearance on this year's WWE Money in the Bank PLE and announced that 2025 would be his last year as an in-ring performer. The Franchise Player also revealed that The Show of Shows next year would be his last 'Mania as an in-ring performer.

"The 2025 Royal Rumble will be my last. The 2025 Elimination Chamber will be my last. And I’m here tonight to announce that in Las Vegas, WrestleMania 2025 will be the last I compete in,'' John Cena said.

It will be interesting to see if the Triple H-led creative team books the Hollywood star for a record-breaking 17th World Title reign during his Retirement Tour.
