Chris Jericho claims former WWE star is about to have the biggest match of his career in 2024

Reigning FTW Champion Chris Jericho recently sent a bold message ahead of his blockbuster showdown with a former WWE Superstar. The star in question is Místico (FKA Sin Cara). The 41-year-old is currently a part of CMLL.

Jericho is undoubtedly one of the greatest creative minds in professional wrestling. Currently signed to AEW, the 53-year-old is the leader of the villainous stable, The Learning Tree, which includes Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Earlier this year, the former AEW World Champion surprisingly showed up in CMLL during a show at Arena México. He brutally attacked Místico, who currently holds the NWA World Historic Middleweight Championship.

Jericho and Místico are scheduled to lock horns at CMLL's 91st Anniversary Show, which is set to take place on September 13, 2024, at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City. Earlier today, the promotion's official X (Twitter) handle posted a video in which Y2J claimed that Místico was about to have the biggest match of his career against The Learning Tree. The veteran wrestler vowed to embarrass the erstwhile Sin Cara.

"Chris Jericho vs. Místico. And I've had a lot of classic matches in Arena Mexico, but our match is going to be the biggest and the most important match of your career. It's going to be the night Chris Jericho embarrasses you," he said.

Chris Jericho is delighted to be back wrestling in Mexico

After attacking Místico at the Viernes Espectacular show mentioned above, the FTW Champion cut a backstage promo in which he expressed his delight after returning to Mexico.

"I'm very happy to be here; it's been a huge part of my life is Mexico, and wrestling in Mexico City, and living in Mexico City, and all across the country," he said.

It will be interesting to see if The Learning Tree emerges victorious at CMLL's 91st Anniversary Show.
