Chris Jericho makes huge botch and gets booed on AEW Dynamite; makes shameless comment to WrestleDream opponent

Chris Jericho seemingly made an intentional botch to irk the live audience on the fifth-anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite. The Lionheart also made disrespectful remarks toward his WrestleDream 2024 opponent, Mark Briscoe.

On tonight's episode of Dynamite, Big Bill introduced Chris Jericho to the ring. The latter congratulated the Tony Khan-led promotion on its new media rights agreement with Warner Brothers Discovery that was announced earlier. He also seemingly took a shot at the Pittsburgh, PA, crowd, possibly deliberately misnaming the town in which the show was taking place.

Later in the segment, The Ocho discussed his renewed interest in chasing titles, alluding to having recently pinned Mark Briscoe, whom he called out to face him for the ROH World Championship at WrestleDream 2024. The Sussex County Chicken soon made his way to the ring, flanked by his Conglomeration allies.

Despite Briscoe acknowledging Jericho's accomplishments, the inaugural AEW World Champion insulted him by asserting that Briscoe could not beat him. He further evoked Briscoe's departed brother, Jay Briscoe, to rattle Mark. The Master of Redneck Kung-Fu then proceeded to drop Jericho with a strike and accepted his challenge for a World Title match at WrestleDream.

It remains to be seen whether Chris Jericho will be able to regain the ROH World Championship at AEW's upcoming pay-per-view.
