Chris Jericho reveals he stays in touch with "some" WWE Superstars

Chris Jericho recently revealed that he was still in contact with some WWE Superstars despite not being with the company for a while now. He also made a bold claim about the wrestling industry.

Jericho has had a career spanning more than three decades and he has competed all over the world already. But his tenure with the Stamford-based promotion is something that will forever be part of his legacy as a wrestler. To this day, he continues to be a big part of the industry as part of AEW's roster.

During his recent appearance on The Big Show with Rusic and Rose, Chris Jericho was asked whether he still spoke to people in WWE. He mentioned that he's run into some at times, and there were no issues, as they ended up being like reunions. He talked about how both companies' stars were major parts of the wrestling industry.

"It’s like being war buddies," said Jericho. "I talk to some of the guys from time to time. Not that there are any issues. You see them on the street or run into them at the airport, it’s the greatest reunion ever. They’re doing their thing, we’re doing our thing. We’re all in the business, we’re all making money, and all building pro wrestling as a whole."

He then made a bold claim by saying that the industry is the biggest it's ever been. Jericho then compared this to the Attitude Era and how, despite the heavy buzz at the time, this era of wrestling has generated more revenue.

"I think pro wrestling is bigger now than it’s ever been. There might have been more of a buzz in the Attitude Era, but as far as dollars and cents and pure money and revenue, it’s never been bigger than it is right now."

Chris Jericho recently talked about retirement

Despite already three decades of experience in his resume, The Learning Tree has kept going, and it doesn't seem like he is slowing down, with him being the current FTW Champion and forming a new faction of his own.

While appearing on the McGuire show, Chris Jericho talked about retirement and whether this was something he was considering. He mentioned how he was still enjoying what he was doing and still had great matches, so he wasn't in a rush to end his career.

"I'll know when it’s time, you know? I’m really enjoying what I’m doing and I’m still contributing at a high level, I can still have the best match on the show on any given night — not every night but any given night. And I just really love what we’re doing with AEW right now. So there’s really no rush on that. And when I know, I’ll know," said Chris Jericho. [H/T: Wrestling Purists]

It remains to be seen what else is in store for Chris Jericho for the rest of the year. It seems he has made a resurgence as The Learning Tree, and that isn't going away anytime soon.
