Chris Jericho is doing the right thing by cleverly using his real-life heat in AEW, says former WWE star
Wrestling legend Chris Jericho has been with AEW since the inception of the company and has played a vital role in making the promotion credible. He was the inaugural AEW World Champion and held the title for an impressive 180+ days.
Wrestling fans widely believe that Jericho is one of the most innovative performers of all time given his unique ability to reinvent himself no matter what his circumstances or surroundings are. The Ocho is currently the leader of the villainous faction, The Learning Tree, where he portrays the role of an arrogant mentor. Recently former WWE star Matt Morgan was full of praise for the three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
On the Gigantic Pop podcast, Morgan showered the 53-year-old AEW star with praises. He revealed that he watched Forbidden Door 2024 and even though he noticed a mixed fan reaction to Jericho's new character, he believes that it is hilarious. Morgan said:
"I watched the pay-per-view Forbidden Door... I have seen a lot of comment sections and comments on YouTube channels, etc that people are starting to give Chris a try with this character I guess in certain instances. I do think it's funny when he is saying 'Hey, it doesn't work for me brother.' Using his real-life heat into this character that he needs more TV time, so he created a show called 'More TV Time with Chris Jericho.' Like it is funny," Morgan said [From 04:43 to 05:22]

In the same episode of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Morgan also praised Jericho for his role in elevating the careers of The Learning Tree members, Bryan Keith and Big Bill.
"He is helping Big Bill and Bryan Keith. I never knew who Keith was before now. I think he is doing what he is supposed to be doing, that is getting younger talent over. I know people don't want to hear that but I think he is because he is taking a lot of losses along the way too," Morgan added." [From 5:25 to 5:47]
