Chris Jericho’s former partner rejects his offer to join The Learning Tree
A top veteran has just rejected Chris Jericho's offer and has claimed that he would never want to team up with him ever in his career, despite being former stablemates. This would be Minoru Suzuki.
The Japanese star has often been associated with the former AEW World Champion as they were on the same side during last year's edition of Forbidden Door, where along with Sammy Guevara, they took on Sting, Darby Allin, and Tetsuya Naito.
This time around, Chris Jericho was looking for a third man as his current faction was challenged by Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata for a match at Forbidden Door this Sunday. He was originally set to be flanked by both Big Bill and Bryan Keith, but Keith sustained an arm injury when they were attacked a few days ago on Collision.
Jericho asked Minoru Suzuki to be by his side and received a response from him via video. He played the video message for the first time tonight as he wanted everyone in the audience to watch this along with him.
Suzuki, however, turned Chris down, saying he'd never want to be affiliated with The Learning Tree. He also claimed Jericho had turned soft. The Japanese star wanted to face him in a match at Forbidden Door instead of tagging alongside him.
It remains to be seen how Chris Jericho will react to both challenges and who he'll officially face at the pay-per-view.
