Chris Jericho set to face former AEW champion for the first time since 2020
Chris Jericho is scheduled to face a former AEW champion on Dynamite next week. The star being discussed is Orange Cassidy.
The Freshly Squeezed star has been regarded as a polarizing figure in the Jacksonville-based promotion. He has been a top star on Dynamite for years now. In 2020, he briefly feuded with Chris Jericho in a series of matches. During one instance, Cassidy poured orange juice over Chris and the rest of the Inner Circle. The juice ruined Jericho's jacket, which was worth $7000.
A couple of weeks ago, they confronted each other once again in a six-man tag team match between The Conglomeration and Jericho Vortex. Later, the Learning Tree bought up their previous feud and the $7000 jacket that was ruined. He asked Orange to pay his money back.
In a recent episode of Collision, Chris stipulated that if the former International Champion loses to Bryan Keith in their contest, Cassidy would repay money to the Le Champion. However, since the former won the match, Jericho stole his backpack, in which he carried his International Championship.
Tonight on Dynamite, the former AEW World Champion arrived in an expensive car and wore the ruined $7000 jacket. He also showed the picture of Best Friends that Jericho found in Cassidy's backpack. Moments later, Cassidy appeared on the screen and asked Mark Briscoe and Kyle O'Reilly to dump loads of coins on Jericho's car.
On tonight's edition of Dynamite, it was announced that Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy will square off next week on Wednesday.
It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious between the two next week.
