Chris Jericho shockingly shows up in major promotion; attacks former WWE star

Chris Jericho recently appeared at a popular promotion to attack a former WWE Superstar. The star he ambushed was Mistico. He was known as Sin Cara during his time at WWE.

The masked star made his AEW debut in October 2023 against Rocky Romero. His latest appearance in the promotion came in May when he was a participant in a Casino Gauntlet match.

Meanwhile, Chris Jericho and Jericho Vortex members Big Bill and Bryan Keith are making regular appearances on Dynamite. The Learning Tree has continued to annoy every other star in the locker room. Now that Forbidden Door is near, AEW has been interacting more with stars from CMLL, STARDOM, and NJPW.

Chris Jericho recently invited Minoru Suzuki to join his team at Forbidden Door as Bryan Keith was injured against Samoa Joe and couldn't participate at the crossover pay-per-view. However, not only was his offer rejected, The Learning Tree was challenged for the FTW Championship by the NJPW legend.

During the recent CMLL's Arena Mexico show, a masked Jericho surprisingly showed up in the ring and attacked Mistico following his match with a Judas Effect.

Later, he challenged Mistico to a match at Arena Mexico next week. It remains to be seen if the duo will bring over their rivarly to AEW as well.
