Chris Jericho suffers major upset loss in shocking result at AEW WrestleDream 2024

Chris Jericho is not someone who faces defeat often in AEW, but that was not the case at this year's WrestleDream. The Ocho was unable to take the win against his opponent at the event.

Jericho has been feuding with Mark Briscoe in the last few weeks, making the rivalry quite personal by mentioning Mark's deceased brother, Jay Briscoe. Jay's passing was a tragic affair, plunging the wrestling community into sadness. By bringing his name into the conversation, Jericho made sure that he was seen as the clear heel against Mark.

In the singles match between Chris Jericho and Mark at WrestleDream, the former was seemingly in control for the majority of the bout. However, Mark was able to gain the upper hand and execute a Jay Driller for the win.

Considering Jericho's experience and in-ring prowess, the win came as a surprise for many. While it is true that the Ocho has won many titles in his distinguished career, winning the ROH World Championship once again would have been a nice feather in his cap.
