Christian Cage officially snubs Killswitch aka Luchasaurus; hands his title to wife of late ex-WWE star

Christian Cage once again snubbed Killswitch (aka Luchasaurus) on the latest episode of AEW Collision. He also gave the latter's championship belt to the wife of a late ex-WWE star.

The August 3, 2024 edition of Collision featured a segment in which Christian Cage addressed the crowd packing the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The 50-year-old legend spoke about The Patriarchy's AEW World Trios Championship victory several weeks ago on the Saturday night show. Cage, alongside Nick Wayne and Killswitch, defeated The Bang Bang Gang for the vacant titles.

Christian reminded fans that he turned his focus to the World Trios Titles as a display of gratitude towards his "family members" for their support over the past year. To that end, he decided to formally award his tag team partners with their championship belts on the August 3 episode of Collision. The Patriarch heaped praise on Nick Wayne, congratulating him for his recent growth as a performer and validating his claim of being The Prodigy before handing him his share of the Trios gold.

Cage then addressed Killswitch, voicing his appreciation to the former WWE Superstar for carrying out the stable's "dirty work." However, in a surprising twist, he decided to honor Shayna Wayne instead and gave the third Trios belt to the latter to loud boos from the crowd.

Shayna was married to Buddy Wayne, who had wrestled several matches in WWE, and with whom she had Nick Wayne in 2005 before his passing.

Christian Cage's promo would be interrupted by the arrival of Malakai Black and Brody King and eventually by the return of Buddy Matthews.
