Christopher Daniels threatens to pull controversial star from AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III
Christopher Daniels has issued a warning to an AEW star. He recently threatened to pull a controversial talent from the Forbidden Door III pay-per-view on June 30.
The AEW star in question is none other than Jack Perry. He will participate in a six-man ladder match for the vacant TNT Title at the upcoming pay-per-view. Perry was scheduled to take part in a trios contest on Collision involving the competitors of the ladder bout at Forbidden Door. However, he seemingly had reservations about competing on the Saturday night program.
Perry is a part of The Elite, a group comprising AEW EVPs The Young Bucks. Hence, the former FTW Champion tried to use the Bucks' backstage influence to weasel his way out of the match on Collision. However, he could not do that as interim EVP Christopher Daniels stepped in and threatened to pull him out of the bout at Forbidden Door if he did not compete on Collision.
Perry was left disappointed when he found out about the stipulation introduced by Daniels. The Elite member will take on Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin, Lio Rush, and El Phantasmo at Forbidden Door for the TNT Title. The championship was vacated by Adam Copeland after his injury.
It will be interesting to see who will come out on top to become the new TNT Champion on June 30.
