CJ Perry, aka Lana, shares unfortunate family news
Former AEW star CJ Perry (fka Lana) recently provided fans with a personal update about her current whereabouts amidst her time now as a free agent. Last month, she revealed during an interview with USA Today that her time with All Elite Wrestling had ended.
She joined the promotion in September last year at All Out, appearing alongside her ex-husband Miro. Her last appearance for them was back in December at Worlds End, and this ended up ultimately being her final one, with her leaving a few months later. She did not even complete a year with the company.
On her recent Instagram Story, CJ Perry mentioned that she was visiting her grandfather who was in the hospital. She talked about how he had fallen down, so they had to bring him into the emergency room to be checked.
Check out a recording of her post below:
"Good morning. I'm gonna go see my grandfather. They say like four to six months. He's in the hospital now. But we're taking him back to assisted living. He fell, so he had to go to the hospital, the emergency room today. How's y'all's day going?" said Perry.
CJ Perry is aiming to reach the level of WWE Hall of Famer
The former WWE Superstar recently revealed a goal of hers following her departure from AEW.
While speaking last month to USA Today, she spoke about how she still wished to work as a manager in the wrestling industry. Perry talked about how she was focused on finding talent and helping bring them to the top. She even made a bold claim that she wanted to be the next Paul Heyman.
"I'm really focused on finding talent and cultivating them and helping them become the best wrestler, champion possible, I guess you could say I want to be the Paul Heyman." [H/T - USA Today]
As of now, CJ Perry's most successful client was her ex-husband Miro as he was someone who had a dominant run on the main roster and someone who has held multiple titles over the years. It remains to be seen who she ends up managing next.
