Claudio Castagnoli posts cryptic message about Jon Moxley's true intentions
Jon Moxley's AEW takeover continued this past week with more carnage on Dynamite, but now the All Elite locker room is banding together to fight back. Claudio Castagnoli seems to be Moxley's right-hand man for their onslaught of Tony Khan's company, and now the Swiss grappler is offering a curious preview of what's to come.
The Purveyor of Violence and The King of Swing have managed to shut down all of AEW's defenders, along with Marina Shafir, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta. However, Wednesday's Fright Night Dynamite saw the resistance fight back in a major way, led by Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Daniel Garcia, Lio Rush, The Dark Order, Top Flight, and Private Party.
Despite the babyfaces' efforts, The Blackpool Combat Club still has a hand-up as they have fueled internal issues between the AEW roster and those in The Elite—The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, and Brandon Cutler. Castagnoli took to X/Twitter today with a message in Italian, which may offer a cryptic preview of what Moxley really has planned.
"A true king does not seek glory, but peace," Claudio Castagnoli wrote. [Translated via Google]
The war will continue on AEW Dynamite as the road to Full Gear continues. Claudio Castagnoli and PAC will team up to face Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy, and Jon Moxley will likely be nearby with Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta.
Jon Moxley to defend at AEW Full Gear
Jon Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Championship in less than three weeks. The sixth annual Full Gear pay-per-view on November 23 will be headlined by Moxley's first defense in his record-fourth reign with the title.
Orange Cassidy will challenge the former Lunatic Fringe at Full Gear for the World Championship. Cassidy issued the challenge this past Wednesday, and Moxley later accepted.
Full Gear will mark the third Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley singles bout. All Out 2023 saw Moxley capture the International Championship from Cassidy, but just over two months later, Freshly Squeezed regained the strap at Full Gear 2023.
