Claudio Castagnoli speaks out after AEW loss

AEW star Claudio Castagnoli broke his silence after losing a high-stakes match on tonight's edition of Dynamite. The star has been one of the strong contenders in the Continental Classic tournament so far.

The Swiss Superman was on top of the Gold League with six points until tonight's Dynamite. He had defeated Ricochet and Brody King in his previous bouts. On the Winter is Coming edition of Dynamite, he faced his toughest challenge yet, Will Ospreay. The latter had garnered three points after defeating Juice Robinson on Collision a few days ago.

Claudio and Will had an enthralling match where the former showcased his strength while The Aerial Assassin displayed his precise high-flying skills. Will Ospreay won the match after a tough battle. Following the bout, both competitors now share the top spot in the Gold League, with each star at six points.

While speaking in an exclusive interview, Claudio Castagnoli claimed that his loss against Ospreay would not distract him from his goal, which was to win the Continental Classic tournament.

"I'm not happy that I lost to Will Ospreay but I am also not losing sight of the bigger picture. See Will Ospreay, I have a lot of respect for you, you are a tremendous warrior. I used to be a warrior once. You know what the difference is between a warrior and what I am now. See, a warrior, he loves the battle, he lives for a fight, he loves it. I just know it's an act to be accomplished, and yet today, I failed," he said. [00:12 - 00:55]

It will be interesting to see if Claudio Castagnoli emerges victorious in the upcoming matches of the competition.
