Congratulations to AEW star Dax Harwood
Dax Harwood is one of AEW's most beloved and respected tag team stars. The North Carolina native recently revealed that he has reached a significant professional milestone.
Dax The Axe made his AEW debut in 2020 alongside his tag team partner, Cash Wheeler. The duo, known as FTR, had previously competed in WWE, where they began wrestling as a tag team in 2014. However, Harwood had made appearances in NXT before teaming with Wheeler. He had also performed in singles and tag team action in indie promotions such as UPWA, GOUGE Wrestling, CWF Mid-Atlantic, and Pro-Wrestling EVO before his tenure in the sports entertainment juggernaut.
In a recent post on X/Twitter, Dax Harwood revealed that he had wrestled his first-ever match twenty years ago to the day. The 40-year-old star penned a heartfelt note about growing up as a wrestling fan and wanting to perform in the squared circle since his childhood:
"Today, 20 years ago, I wrestled my very first professional wrestling match. Friday the 13th, 2004. I’m trying to wrap my mind around it. (..) 20 years?! I remember as a kid watching Bret Hart win the 1993 King of the Ring. I told my mom, I wanted to be a wrestler when I grew up. I was obsessed. I remember as a kid, walking to my friend’s house, passing a long stretch of bushes, and high fiving every leaf on the way, as if they were each a fan of mine, hoping one day that amount of people would love me."
Harwood went on:
"I remember as a kid, every single night, praying that God would allow me to become 'a WWF, WCW, or ECW champion.' I remember as a kid having over 500 posters hanging on my walls and ceiling of all my favorite wrestlers in hopes of one day having a poster of my own. And it’s all lead to this. 20 years."

AEW star Dax Harwood issued a challenge ahead of an upcoming title match on Dynamite
For the past couple of weeks, FTR has been locked in a feud with The Acclaimed, with the latter taking exception to Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler supposedly trying to cut ahead of them in line for an AEW World Tag Team Championship match against The Young Bucks. Even last week on Dynamite, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens had a confrontation with the Top Guys that turned into a brawl which was eventually broken up by security.
It was recently announced that Matthew and Nicholas Jackson would defend their AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Acclaimed on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. Dax Harwood took to X/Twitter to issue a challenge to the winner of the bout for a match at All In 2024.
