Matt Cardona on failing to defeat a former WWE Champion

At the recent Ring of Honor Final Battle pay-per-view, Matt Cardona challenged the former WWE Champion, Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship. Cardona failed to capture the title from Jericho and shared a long note on X/Twitter:

"Last night I didn’t get the job done. I failed to beat @IAmJericho for the @ringofhonor World Championship. But I don’t consider this a loss…I consider it a win. I wrestled one of my childhood favorites…one of, if not the greatest, of all time…on a big stage…and I almost had him beat. I’ll learn from this match…I’ll grow from this match…I’ll get better from this match."

Moreover, Matt Cardona is still yet to fully go All Elite and officially sign a contract. Only time will tell if Cardona will permanently join Tony Khan's promotion in the future.
