Congratulations to Tony Khan and AEW
AEW All In is undoubtedly the Jacksonville-based company's answer to WWE's WrestleMania. Its first-ever edition was held in 2018 as an independent show. Under Tony Khan's leadership, it took place on a bigger scale in 2023 and this year. Both events were organized in London, England.
All In 2025 will emanate from the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, on July 12. Tickets are currently on sale. Interestingly, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the pay-per-view ticket sales have been quite high. The promotion has reportedly earned more than $1.25 million from ticket sales already. This is the third-highest gate in the promotion's history and also its highest in North America.
All Elite Wrestling's most profitable show to date was All In 2023, which brought in more than $10 million in ticket sales. Meanwhile, All In 2024 cleared the $6 million mark. All In 2025's presale began earlier this month, with VIP packages going on sale on November 20.
Sportskeeda congratulates Tony Khan and AEW for such impressive numbers and wishes the company the very best for a successful show.
AEW founder Tony Khan receives support from Eric Bischoff
Controversy has followed Tony Khan ever since the inception of All Elite Wrestling. Recently, he reportedly added injury time to Rey FĂ©nix's contract, preventing the latter from leaving the company.
The 42-year-old's decision has enraged fans worldwide. However, according to WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, Khan did the right thing. In a recent episode of the 83 Weeks podcast, the former RAW GM stated that it was the correct decision from a business point of view.
"For the most part, I would agree with Tony. He's got a business to protect, and when you invest a lot of money in talent and the talent isn't able to perform because of an injury, to me, it makes sense that you would add that time," he said. [50:00-50:22]
Eventually, Bischoff said that since the former AEW International Champion was not happy in the company, it would be better to simply release him.
