Controversial AEW star hopes Jon Moxley finally retires Bryan Danielson; big reason revealed

Reigning AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson is one of the greatest wrestlers in the modern day and age. He won his title at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View at Wembley Stadium in London by defeating the previous champion, Swerve Strickland.

Like most performers, Danielson has suffered various injuries throughout his career. When he was signed to WWE, he was forced to retire because of it. However, he made a glorious return and ended his run in the Stamford-based company on a high note.

Interestingly, the leader of the "Yes" movement claimed that he would stop competing as a full-time wrestler as soon as he dropped his title. The possibility of that happening at the upcoming WrestleDream Pay-Per-View is high because he will lock horns with his former stablemate, Jon Moxley. It appears that many AEW stars want the former WWE Champion to retire and leave the company, including the infamous Max Caster.

Caster recently stated that he hoped Moxley defeated Danielson at WrestleDream and made him retire because, according to him, the 43-year-old simply "SUCKS!".

Jim Ross considers Bryan Danielson as AEW's MVP

In a recent appearance on Grilling JR with Jim Ross, the 72-year-old said that Danielson was AEW's most wanted player and an immensely professional athlete.

"Daniel Bryan is gotta be considered (the MVP). The Omega fans could make an argument for Kenny. Moxley has gotta be in the conversation. But the work Bryan Danielson has done is nothing short of extraordinary. The quality of matches he has with everybody he gets in the ring with great skill and being unselfish. Bryan is a pro's pro. I've worked with some great bookers in my career. Some of them are considered the best in the field. But there has never been a generation of talent that Bryan Danielson would not fit." said Ross.

Danielson vs. Moxley at WrestleDream will certainly be a brutal affair. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the two talented wrestlers.
