Controversial end to AEW Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale; another obstacle for MJF's next opponent
An unexpected finish took place during tonight's AEW Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale. Long-time friends Adam Cole and Kyle O-Reilly participated in the contest and outlasted the rest of the 10 stars.
The former Undisputed Era members have been arguing with each other for the last couple of weeks. Kyle recently expressed his fear that the Panama City Playboy's desire to face MJF was hurting his friends, exactly what happened at Full Gear 2024. At the pay-per-view, Maxwell seemingly injured Roderick Strong's arm.
Last week, a furious Kyle O'Reilly told Adam Cole that he would be the one to answer the former AEW World Champion. However, the latter denied it. They eventually agreed to enter the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, which would eventually lead one of them to MJF, as the latter holds the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
On tonight's AEW Dynamite, 12 stars entered the ring to earn a shot at winning the top prize. Kyle and Adam were the last to eliminate Brian Cage and Lance Archer simultaneously, causing a controversial double-elimination to end the contest.
It will be interesting to see who wins next week between the two stars who are eager to face MJF.
