Controversial star teases huge return to AEW a day before Dynamite: Blood & Guts

A major AEW star recently teased returning to the promotion ahead of the upcoming Dynamite. The star being discussed is Sammy Guevara.

The former TNT Champion has been a top star in the company since its inception. Despite having the top spot in the promotion, Guevara has found himself in hot water. He was suspended back in February as he didn't follow concussion protocols in his match against Jeff Hardy. He wrestled Powerhouse Hobbs a few days before suspension and hasn't been seen since.

Sammy Guevara's wife, Tay Melo is also on maternal leave for over a year. She has been posting clips of her training on social media for a while now. Also, a report claimed that Sammy's suspension was lifted a few months ago and AEW has been discussing bringing him back.

The Spanish God recently took to Twitter and revealed both the stars have been training for their imminent return. He could also surprise everyone by getting involved in the Blood and Guts match.

"Just wanna say this mama right here is doing such a great job. We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in. Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife! She doesn’t give herself the credit so just wanna say you are doing great mama & we all can’t wait for your return ❤️ @taymelo," he wrote.

AEW is planning something special for Sammy Guevara's return

Despite being reinstated following a suspension, The Spanish God hasn't returned to the squared circle.

A recent report claimed that the Jacksonville-based promotion has been planning something 'outside the box' for the former TNT Champion's return. During a Q&A, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp stated that some major plans were in place.

“I have heard that there have been talks, creative plans for him. Little bit outside the box stuff planned for him, which is good because I don’t think you need to have him with Chris Jericho anymore,” said Sapp.

It will be interesting to see when Sammy Guevara will return to the company.
