Current AEW star seemingly confirms she'll never return to WWE

With rumors of multiple AEW stars jumping the ship and possibly joining WWE, a current top All Elite star recently made a massive statement about her potentially returning to her former employer. The star in question is Mercedes Mone.

Mone is arguably one of the biggest signing of the year for AEW. She joined the promotion in March 2024 and quickly rose to prominence. She didn't waste any time and won the TBS Championship in her debut match at Double or Nothing.

The CEO then went on to win the Strong Women's Championship at Forbidden Door. Since then, she has looked like a force to be reckoned with. Additionally, it was reported that Mone received special treatment from Tony Khan such as her own entourage and private locker room.

During a recent interview with Breakfast Club AM, Mercedes Mone mentioned that she doesn't think she will ever return to WWE considering how All Elite Wrestling has been treating her.

"After the way that AEW has been treating me…I don’t know, I don’t think so. I feel like I have the best relationship with AEW right now and it’s legit…I’m living my dreams and it’s the best place I’ve ever been, mentally and physically and to be able to have new dreams, after being in the industry for 14 years, it’s the best feeling in the world, so AEW is my home right now."

AEW star Mercedes Mone reveals real reason why she left WWE

Mercedes Mone wrestled under the name Sasha Banks for WWE for several years. However, she surprisingly left the company in 2022 due to creative differences with Vince McMahon. This was surprising because she was one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions along with Naomi, who also quit the company.

During the same interview, Mercedes Mone revealed that she didn't like the way Vince McMahon used to talk to her. Mone said she felt he talked down to her so, she decided to listen to her heart and quit.

"I left for many different reasons. A lot of personal stuff happened with myself and the chairman at the time. I didn't like how he talked to me and how I was talked down to. I was like, 'It's time to listen to your soul and your heart.' There was a light that came to me and I left WWE. A guide told me," Mercedes Moné said.

The CEO is scheduled to appear on tonight's Grand Slam edition of Dynamite. It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone will continue to dominate the women's division in Tony Khan's promotion.
