Current WWE personality's big statement on AEW: "I will say they created Darby Allin"

Darby Allin is one of the most beloved AEW stars. The 31-year-old daredevil has been performing in the Tony Khan-led company since its inception and has faced some of the biggest names on the roster. Furthermore, his alliance with the legendary Sting has elevated his career to new heights.

Even before signing with AEW, Allin was a prominent name in the independent circuit. He regularly appeared in promotions such as MLW, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, GCW, and more, leaving no stone unturned to entertain fans. Unsurprisingly, the former TNT Champion has fans all across the globe and is also appreciated by former wrestlers, such as ex-WWE superstar, Booker T.

In a recent Hall Of Fame podcast episode, the 59-year-old stated that creating and developing Allin's character should be fully credited to AEW. He also added that the company made MJF and Britt Baker household names.

"I will say they created Darby Allin. Because Darby was an indie guy. He was a straight-up indie guy before he came to AEW. No one knew Darby Allin. And I think Tony Khan going out on a limb and giving this kid a shot, and putting him in a highlighted position — I feel like AEW, I wouldn’t say created, but they gave that kid the rub to become a star. Britt Baker as well. You gotta throw him in there as well (MJF)," he said.
