Darby Allin makes an unexpected announcement amid AEW absence
Darby Allin just made an unexpected announcement. This comes during his current AEW absence.
Allin made a name for himself in AEW due to his daredevil antics. He has proven time and again that he isn't afraid to put his body on the line. Earlier this year, Allin was supposed to climb Mount Everest. However, this plan was canceled after Allin broke his foot during his match against Jay White.
The AEW star now took to social media to announce that he is selling the x-ray of his broken foot on hoodlum.shop:
"Night I broke my foot. X-ray sock available now http://hoodlum.shop"
Check out his tweet here:
Darby Allin last competed at the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing. Allin took significant bumps in the and was even hung upside down in the ring.
Jim Ross compared Darby Allin to Jeff Hardy
Back in the early 2000s, Jeff Hardy gained a lot of recognition due to his risk-taking antics in his matches. He would often take some serious bumps during ladder matches similar to what Allin does today.
Hence, Jim Ross was able to draw a comparison between Allin and Jeff while speaking about the former on his Grilling JR podcast:
"Homegrown talent stepping up and working main event style matches. Example, Darby Allin. Darby's style in the ring might not be everybody's cup of tea. However, he's unique, he's different. He kind of has Jeff Hardy in him from back in the day, and I don't have any problem with that. I think some of these young cats have come into their own. It's heartwarming, they want to live their dreams. I know we hear that a lot and it's cliche as hell, but they want to live their dreams, and now working on these pay-per-views gives them the opportunity to do so. I'm a big fan of living your dream," Jim Ross said. [H/T WrestlingInc]
It will be interesting to see when the former TNT Champion will make his return back to All Elite Wrestling.
