Darby Allin pulls off another life-threatening stunt outside AEW

AEW fans have been entertained by Darby Allin's insane antics since the promotion's inception. The 31-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most unique in-ring workers of the modern era but is also known to shine outside the ring. The AEW Original has just pulled off another viral non-wrestling stunt that is a must-see.

The Daredevil has certainly earned his nickname. Allin has been wrestling for 10 years, but he's also an experienced stuntman and skateboarder. The Seattle native played football and participated in Track & Field in high school, and took part in amateur wrestling, ironically because he thought it was professional wrestling. Darby then dropped out of film school to pursue a skateboarding career and was on his wrestling journey within a few years. Allin also seems to find himself in dangerous situations at times, like the time he was hit by a bus in New York City.

Allin was in New Haven, CT, today to do media for Wednesday's Dynamite in nearby Bridgeport. The two-time TNT Champion appeared on The Chaz & AJ in the Morning show for 99.1 PLR FM and ended up holding his breath in a bowl of water for three minutes. The official AEW PR account on X shared a photo from the stunt, captioning it with two diving mask emojis.

Allin later shared the photo on his own X account, with a recap of what happened. The 31-year-old admitted that radio listeners may have been bored with the stunt.

"Held my breathe for 3 minutes in a bowl of water on the radio this morning. Might have been boring to listen to," Darby Allin wrote.

Allin is currently aligned with Orange Cassidy and other babyface stars in the fight against Jon Moxley and his Death Riders. The AEW Originals wrestled PAC and Claudio Castagnoli to a No Contest on last week's Dynamite.

Rumored AEW Full Gear match for Darby Allin

Darby Allin's last appearance on All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view came at WrestleDream on October 12. The multi-time champion defeated longtime rival Brody King in just over 12 minutes.

The Daredevil has only competed once since WrestleDream, and that was the Dynamite No Contest in which he and Orange Cassidy fought PAC and Claudio Castagnoli. However, with Cassidy challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at the upcoming Full Gear PPV, Allin is expected to face Castagnoli, unless they do some sort of tag team match with another partner for Darby.

Allin has never faced Castagnoli in singles action. His one singles bout with PAC was a loss at the company's 2020 Bash at The Beach edition of Dynamite.
