Darby Allin surviving a Styles Clash to the floor irks WWE legend: "I'm sorry, I'm just not buying into it"

A WWE Hall of Famer has pointed out an issue with the finish of Darby Allin's match this week on AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash. The legend in question is Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudely).

On AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash, Darby Allin and Will Ospreay collided in one of the most anticipated Gold League matches in the ongoing Continental Classic Tournament. The bout didn't disappoint as Allin managed to secure the win after delivering a highly athletic performance.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray wasn't pleased with Allin surviving a Styles Clash by Will Ospreay from the apron to the floor. On Busted Open After Dark, Ray said the Styles Clash to the floor, and an Oscutter should've been enough for The Daredevil to lose.

"I don't know about you, but to me, the Styles Clash from a bigger Will Ospreay onto a smaller Darby Allin, a Styles Clash to a floor, and a jumping Oscutter should be enough to put the smaller opponent away, but it wasn't. But Darby's two Coffin Drops and a Scorpion is enough to put Will away."

Bully Ray further mentioned that the two competitors could've done something different instead of the actual finish since it wasn't believable.

"I'm sorry, I'm just not buying into it, they could've done something a little bit different. And I would've taken the Oscutter out or I would've had Ospreay throw Darby back into the ring. Because to see Darby just come up out of the cell." [12:12- 14:11]

The wrestling legend further said he could understand Allin had an adrenaline rush and entered the ring, but the Oscutter after that should've been the end of the match.

Darby Allin's next matches in the AEW Continental Classic

With his big win over Will Ospreay, Darby Allin now has two victories in his Continental Classic Gold League campaign. This Saturday on AEW Collision, the former TNT Champion is slated to take on Claudio Castagnoli in the Gold League.

After his match with Claudio Castagnoli, Allin would only have to tackle Ricochet in the Gold League. It remains to be seen if the face-painted star manages to get another win on Saturday.
