Details of 39-year-old star's desire to leave AEW, unable to communicate with The Young Bucks - Reports

39-year-old AEW star Penta El Zero Meido is said to leave the company soon. It was also reported that his brother Rey Fenix would accompany him out of the promotion.

A while ago, fans came to know that Penta's contract is set to expire this month. Likewise, Fenix's contract will be coming to an end in September. It was then reported that the brothers would leave Tony Khan's promotion and jump ship to WWE.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided more updates regarding Penta's (and his brother Fenix's) potential exit from the Jacksonville-based company.

The renowned wrestling journalist revealed that The Lucha Brothers wanted to have a chat with The Young Bucks but couldn't because the EVPs were not available.

“They (Young Bucks) haven’t been (at TV), because I know Pentagon & Fenix wanted to talk to them, and they weren’t there because of whatever...I did hear a lot about the Pentagon and Fenix stuff, and essentially I think Pentagon didn’t wanna stay (in AEW), and Fenix wanted to be loyal to his brother. And that's kinda it," Meltzer said. (H/T WrestlePurists)

AEW's Young Bucks achieved a major milestone

This week on Thursday, The Young Bucks completed 20 years in wrestling. Nicholas Jackson logged onto his Instagram to reveal the news and shared a funny throwback picture of himself with his brother.

“I just learned that today is the 20th year anniversary of when we debuted in wrestling. So naturally I picked the worst photo possible of us to celebrate this historic anniversary! Thanks everyone who’s ever supported us. We aren’t young anymore but we will forever be your Young Bucks,” Nick wrote in the caption.
