“Did Sting put over anybody?” - Ex-AEW star singles out 53-year-old WWE legend for being unselfish in the business

A former AEW star recently claimed that a certain WWE icon should be given credit for his ability to put over talent. He even compared him to several other icons in the business. This would be Jake Hager (FKA Jack Swagger) talking about Chris Jericho.

Hager got the chance to work with The Learning Tree during his stints with both WWE and AEW. They were stablemates for years during their time together in Tony Khan's promotion. Hager was able to show his loyalty toward Jericho, joining him in both the Inner Circle and the Jericho Appreciation Society. It was only last year when he drifted away from working with the multi-time World Champion.

While appearing on No Shave Man Cave, Jake Hager talked about how big names in this business, including WWE icons Triple H, The Undertaker, and Sting, weren't the type to constantly put over talent. Hager praised Chris Jericho for understanding this part of the industry.

"Here's the thing I like about it. Did you see Triple H putting over any new guys? Did you see Undertaker putting over any new guys? Did you see any top guys, who have been in the business for as long as Jericho, putting over anybody? Did Sting put over anybody? No. [Jericho's] trying to build. He understands it. It drives me crazy that nobody talks about this. He's putting over these guys. He's putting the stamp on them."

He brought up how Jericho played a part in Orange Cassidy becoming over in AEW, as he got heavy exposure during their feud a few years ago.

"Did he make Orange Cassidy hot? I mean, come on. I'm biased, but I think the fact that he is so unselfish with building this company. Forget about it," said Hager. [H/T Fightful]

The multi-time WWE Champion will hold another episode of TV Time next week

Chris Jericho has taken a new persona that many feel is reminiscent of his true personality, as he wants more exposure and TV time. Next week, he'll look to do so once more by holding another episode of TV Time with The Learning Tree.

Two days ago on Rampage, he revealed that this will take place on Dynamite 250 a few days from now. The last time the former WWE veteran held the segment, he invited Private Party to teach them how to climb the ropes properly but ended up receiving a blindside attack from them, which prompted a short-lived feud.

It remains to be seen whether another confrontation will take place during this week's edition of TV Time.
