Disco Inferno reacts to major AEW star's worrying spot after blockbuster return

WCW veteran Disco Inferno has criticized a spot from last night featuring a returning AEW star. The name being discussed is former ROH World Champion Bandido.

El Más Buscado was rumored to return for quite some time. Last night at the 2024 Final Battle pay-per-view, the luchador made his comeback after one and a half years. He came to the aid of Matt Cardona, who was being attacked by Chris Jericho and his allies.

At a point in the segment, Bandido went for a Missile Dropkick from the ring apron and seemingly landed on his head. He appeared slightly dazed afterward. On X/Twitter, Disco Inferno reacted to the moment and criticized the luchador for potentially concussing himself during his comeback sequence.

"Dude concussed himself his first 10 seconds back," Inferno wrote.

Tony Khan revealed he wanted Bandido in AEW back in 2019

Following his return last night, Tony Khan addressed Bandido's history with the promotion during the post-show media scrum.

Khan talked about wanting to sign the luchador to All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and revealed how he was committed to staying with Ring of Honor at the time. In 2021, Bandido won the world title, so when Khan took over ROH, he became an important part of both promotions.

"I really wanted to sign Bandido when we first launched AEW. And he actually made a choice and signed with ROH. He became a great world champion for them and then when things changed in the world of wrestling, when I acquired the company, Bandido became a great asset to AEW and ROH." Now that Bandido is back, he may be booked as the next challenger for Chris Jericho's title. There has been no information on a potential injury coming out of his latest angle. Hence, it may end up being business as usual for him, as he has now found his target.
