Disgruntled AEW star joins The Elite as the fifth member for Blood and Guts
A top AEW star has joined The Elite as the fifth member for Blood and Guts. The star being discussed is 'Hangman' Adam Page.
Swerve Strickland and Adam Page have huge history together and had an intense rivalry in 2023 and 2024. In order to face the former one more time, The Cowboy entered the Owen Hart Cup in order to earn a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In 2024. He returned to the company after four months of hiatus.
The Anxious Millennial Cowboy and Swerve Strickland failed to capture the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe at Revolution 2024. Adam came back from his hiatus as a wild card in the Owen Hart Cup tournament and defeated Jeff Jarrett in the opening round. After making a huge return, he was made an offer by The Elite to join the faction, but Hangman turned them down.
The 32-year-old star then proceeded to enter the final after overcoming Jay White and was slated to face Bryan Danielson on Dynamite. Despite giving his best, 'Hangman' Adam Page failed to win the Owen Hart Cup, and therefore lost his chance to face Swerve Strickland for the championship.
Later, the former AEW World Champion confronted The Elite and said "I'll do it," seemingly inserting himself in the Blood and Guts match alongside the faction. A few moments later, AEW made it official. Meanwhile, Swerve aligned with Mark Briscoe to join Team AEW earlier during the episode.
It will be interesting to see who the other three members of Team AEW will be as Team Elite is now complete with Hangman's addition.
