Drew McIntyre met another AEW star before Jack Perry and his girlfriend for that viral photo
Drew McIntyre is currently involved in a heated rivalry with CM Punk. He has done everything in his power to physically and mentally harass his nemesis, including stealing Punk's prized bracelet, which had the names of his wife, AJ Lee, and their dog, Larry.
The Scottish Warrior escalated the rivalry to a new level when he posted a picture (which he later deleted) of himself and Jack Perry, the AEW star who engaged in a real-life scuffle with The Second City Saint last year. Punk was fired from the promotion due to the altercation, while Perry was suspended indefinitely.
On Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Drew McIntyre revealed more details about the now-deleted controversial picture with Jack Perry. McIntyre said before he met the TNT Champion and his girlfriend, he bumped into AEW star Roderick Strong.
"I was flying to LA, and they just did a show the night before. I'd seen Roderick Strong at the airport, a buddy of mine, and we got to catch up, which was awesome. He was heading to an ROH show, I believe. And then on the flight, just saw Jack, had a little chat with him and his missus, and then we snapped a picture, and the internet had a freaking meltdown. A few days ago, Drew McIntyre had an interview with Gorilla Position. During the interview, the former WWE Champion disclosed that he met Jack Perry on a flight. They had a nice conversation, and then he asked to click a picture with him.
"On the same flight [McIntyre responded when asked how the photo with Jack Perry came about]. He was just right in front of me. I had a chat with him. Lovely lad. His girlfriend’s really nice, flying to LA and just said, 'Hey, we should take a picture together. We’re both wrestlers. I’ll put it on the internet. Give ya a little rub [McIntyre laughed],' and people reacted crazy."
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's rivalry is far from over after two hard-hitting matches. After losing at Bash in Berlin, The Scottish Psychopath is furious. On the latest edition of RAW, McIntyre brutally assaulted Punk, forcing the latter to leave the arena on a stretcher.
