Dustin Rhodes is furious with AEW star: "You are the farthest thing from my family you son of a bi*#h"
Dustin Rhodes is an AEW Original, despite his legendary career. The All Elite talent has since become a dual-champion for Tony Khan's ROH, but now he's furious after drama surrounding the Rhodes family was brought into storylines. Dustin has just warned one of his father's students from WWE.
Dusty Rhodes began his legendary career in 1967 but made a massive impact on the industry in his later years by working with talents at WWE developmental territories FCW and NXT. A talent who learned a lot from The American Dream is Dutch (fka Bill Carr and Bobby Dutch). The Righteous member joined WWE as a rookie pro wrestler but was released a year later.
The Sons of Texas retained the ROH World Tag Team Championship over Kingdom in a Bunkhouse Brawl this week. After which, The Natural and the Spanish God were attacked by The Righteous, with Dustin being laid out by a cowbell. Later, Dutch and Vincent cut promos about wanting to become champions. The 37-year-old then raised what he claimed to be Rhodes' own cowbell, and said it was given to him because he had what The American Dream never saw in his son, who also considered him the weakest link in the family.
Dutch took to X (fka Twitter) to continue taunting Rhodes, noting that he feels like family now. The former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion then declared that he feels like he's achieved The American Dream. He included a photo of the cowbell attack.
"I have what you want. But your father handed it down to me instead. I feel like family now. I feel like I have achieved The American Dream. Death Walks, My Brother. #TheRighteous #AEWCollision," wrote Dutch.
The Natural was not happy with Dutch's comments. The 36-year industry veteran took to X today to lash out, promising to make the 37-year-old pay.
"You are the farthest thing from my family you son of a bi*#h!!! MARK MY WORDS: YOU WILL PAY A HARD PRICE," wrote Dustin Rhodes.
