Former WWE on-screen manager Dutch Mantell praised Darby Allin's character in AEW. Mantell said he's impressed with the former TNT Champion's intent.

Darby Allin has aligned with Sting ever since The Icon arrived in AEW. The two men have teamed up on several occasions and have shared the ring with some of AEW's best tag teams.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's latest edition of Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell spoke briefly about Allin's character work. He also mentioned how Allin has been suspicious of people other than Sting:

"I've been studying Darby Allin. I like the way he looks at people because you don't know his intent but I like what they're doing with him because he's highly leery of people other than Sting."

Mantell added how Allin trusts Sting but doesn't trust anybody else despite them being babyfaces. The former WWE veteran feels that it is quite an excellent way to get on with Allin's character:

"He trusts Sting but he doesn't trust anybody else even though they could be bonafide babyfaces, he doesn't trust them. Which I think is a good way to go with that kid."
