Eric Bischoff accuses Jon Moxley's faction of breaking major TV rule

Jon Moxley and his heel faction are riding high in AEW right now. The company is just days away from its sixth annual Full Gear pay-per-view, and the go-home Dynamite episode will air in just over 24 hours. Despite the buzz, Eric Bischoff is not impressed. The wrestling legend just leveled an interesting accusation at AEW's World Champion.

The Purveyor of Violence arrived at last week's AEW Dynamite in a pick-up truck with Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta. The episode had a theme of Jon Moxley's TBS takeover. After a back-and-forth with Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin jumped The Death Riders until Castagnoli laid him out. The heel faction then drove off in the truck.

Bischoff tuned into AEW's flagship TV show last week because he was interested in the hyped-up TBS Superstation takeover angle, but the former WCW executive was not impressed. On the latest episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, the veteran blasted the All Elite presentation and the look of The Death Riders. The former nWo boss then accused Jon Moxley and his crew of violating a major television industry rule: do not wear white.

"It is bad for the business. It's a bad representation of what the professional wrestling industry can be on television. It's horrible, there's nothing. I mean, from the concrete floor up in that arena [Wednesday] night, I didn't see anything that represented a professional production. The talent shows up wearing their street clothes that... 'I'm no fashion mogul but they're wearing s**t to the ring that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing on the street," Eric Bischoff said. [From 07:50 to 08:32]

Bischoff continued:

"First of all, you don't wear white on television! That's like rule number one: never wear white on television, and everybody's coming out with white t-shirts, because that was on under the shirt they were wearing into the building that day, I guess." [From 08:33 to 08:47]

Last week's Dynamite drew 666,000 viewers on TBS, which was up 27.3% from the previous week that went head-to-head with WWE NXT 2300. This was the largest total audience for AEW's flagship show since October 2.

The same episode drew a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 key demographic, up 37.5% from the previous week, and Dynamite's best key demo rating since Grand Slam on September 25.
