Eric Bischoff calls 9-time WWE champion the best veteran in the business

Eric Bischoff was left very impressed with 9-time WWE champion Jeff Jarrett after his recent match. The latter had a major bout on Dynamite last week.

The August 7 edition of Dynamite emanated from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. One of the matches on the show featured Bryan Danielson and Jeff Jarrett in a one-on-one action.

It was a no-disqualification match that saw the American Dragon emerge victorious. As the match followed an 'Anything Goes' stipulation, one deadly spot saw Bryan hitting a knee to Jeff's face, which busted him open. As a result, the 57-year-old star had to get five stitches.

Eric Bischoff liked Jeff's performance on Dynamite and highly praised him on one of the recent editions of his 83 Weeks podcast. He even stated that nobody is better than Jeff, implying that he is the best in the business.

He said, "Is there anybody better, a veteran at this point in time, he hasn't seem to have lost really too much. He's a little slower. Takes just a hair longer to get from point A to point Z. But, man, so impressed."

Eric Bischoff didn't like the stipulation of Jeff Jarrett's match on Dynamite

In the same conversation, Eric Bischoff highlighted that even though he enjoyed watching the match, he would've liked it more if it were to feature Jeff Jarret in a traditional match without the 'Anything Goes' stipulation.

"Here's my only comment, and this is selfish... It was a hardcore match; falls count anywhere; whatever the rules were; I can't remember; it's nonsense. I would've liked it to be more of a traditional match that really showcases not only Jeff's amazingly abilities but Bryan's as well.

The WCW veteran then stated that a traditional/signature match would've highlighted Bryan and Jeff's abilities more, which the fans couldn't see due to the no-disqualification hardcore match.
