Ethan Page reacts after NXT gets confirmed to go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite
AEW and NXT are set to go head-to-head once again next month, but this time there's a major twist on the side of WWE's third brand. Ethan Page previously worked for the Jacksonville-based promotion but is now at the top of the black-and-silver brand. He shared a very telling reaction to the upcoming one-night-only Wednesday Night War.
All Ego spent just under three years and two months with All Elite Wrestling. Page then debuted for NXT just twenty-six days after being removed from the All Elite roster, and forty days later he was crowned the new NXT Champion, and the reign lasted eighty-six days.
Page continues to chase the title, and hopes to be champion when NXT invades the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia on Wednesday, November 6. The black-and-silver brand will air on Wednesday that week to avoid Tuesday night coverage of the U.S. Presidential Election, which means the CW airing will go up against the post-Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS.
Page has wrestled at the 2300 Arena several times, including two TNA Impact matches in 2019. He took to X (fka Twitter) today to react to the announcement confirming NXT vs. AEW on TV, and took a major shot at the legendary venue that was the birthplace of Extreme Championship Wrestling.
"I thought I escaped this 💩🕳️ .... 😭," Page wrote.
Jey Uso speaks on top AEW stars in WWE
The Lucha Brothers have been rumored to join WWE as soon as they are free of legal encumbrances. Once both of their AEW contracts expire, multiple sources believe Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix will be WWE-bound.
Jey Uso spoke with Metro UK this week, and commented on a potential reunion of The Usos, and dream matches against teams like The Motor City Machine Guns and The Lucha Brothers, among others. The current Intercontinental Champion also expressed interest in facing NXT teams.
"I feel like if we [The Usos] did have a comeback, man, I would like to run with those guys [Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin], a couple [of] guys from NXT, maybe the Lucha Bros. [Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix]. But they gotta walk through this door," Jey Uso said.
Main Event Jey will be on tonight's RAW to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker. This is a rematch from when Uso dethroned Breakker of the title on September 23 in the RAW main event.
