Ex-AEW star calls out MMA fighter for wearing WWE veteran's shirt in a photo with Sydney Sweeney

Actress Sydney Sweeney was one of the many stars who were in attendance for UFC 288 over the weekend, but she has been caught up in an online debate between a former AEW star and an MMA fighter.

Sydney Sweeney has become one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors in recent years thanks to her roles in TV shows like The Handmaid's Tale, Euphoria, and The White Lotus, as well as catching the eye of film legend Quentin Tarantino for his movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Someone who is clearly a fan of Sydney Sweeney's work is MMA fighter Dillon Danis, who was also in attendance at UFC 288, where he managed to grab a picture with the 25-year-old.

Danis was seen sporting a t-shirt of ECW legend The Sandman, which has led to former AEW star Joey Janela calling out the Bellator fighter on social media for not knowing who The Sandman is.

"Name your top 5 Sandman matches, f**king poser… @dillondanis," tweeted @JANELABABY.

At the time of writing, neither Syndey Sweeney nor Dillon Danis have listed their top five favorite Sandman matches, and it seems highly unlikely that they ever will.

Joey Janela might need to watch out as Sydney Sweeney has a background in MMA

While she might not be able to list off her favorite matches from a former ECW Champion, one thing that the 25-year-old Euphoria star could do is legitimately beat up Joey Janela, as she has a background in MMA.

Sweeney has trained extensively in various martial arts since the age of five, and has even worked with the likes of current WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey when it comes to her Mixed Martial Arts training.
