Female AEW star who hasn't appeared on TV in 7 months sends a message to Tony Khan
A female AEW star recently sent a message to President Tony Khan. The star in question is none other than Abadon. The 32-year-old's last in-ring performance for the Jacksonville-based promotion came in December 2023, when she unsuccessfully challenged Julia Hart for the TBS Title at the Worlds End PPV.
Tony Khan recently put over the Blood and Guts concept of All Elite Wrestling. The AEW President also spoke about the possibility of bringing the matchup to the Women's Division. The statement has caught the eyes of many female stars, including Abadon.
On X (Twitter), Abadon expressed interest in competing in a potential Women's Blood and Guts Match by tagging Tony Khan.
"Blood and guts are my favorite[s], @TonyKhan," she wrote.
Tony Khan bringing back Marko Stunt to AEW won't draw ratings, according to Dutch Mantell
Last week on AEW Collision, Marko Stunt answered Jack Perry's TNT Championship Open Challenge. However, Stunt failed to defeat The Scapegoat. Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus (Killswitch), and Jack Perry (FKA Jungle Boy) used to be in a faction known as The Jurassic Express during the early years of the promotion. Stunt was released from the company in June 2022.
Speaking on his Storytime with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager stated that while the Marko Stunt vs. Jack Perry match was enjoyable and unique, it wouldn't ''draw a dime'' due to a lack of story.
"I didn't wanna watch the whole match, so I would go forward on it, but actually, they worked hard, it wasn't a bad match, and the crowd was receptive to it. So, you couldn't draw a dime with it unless maybe you could tell a story with it somehow, but it'd be a really short-run story. But I've never seen anything like that. I will say that AEW did something that I've never really seen before, and it won't draw a dime, but they worked hard, and it wasn't a bad match," he said. [56:55-58:40]
Marko Stunt reinvented himself on the independent circuit after his release from All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see what's in store for the young star in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
