Female AEW star comments on working with Adam Copeland; says he's "missed" amid absence (Exclusive)
A top female AEW star just opened up about working with Adam Copeland. She even said that he's being missed due to his absence.
Willow Nightingale has been one of the top stars in AEW's women's division. This resulted in her getting a push as TBS Champion for a while. During her run in Tony Khan's promotion, Nightingale has worked with several of the other major stars in the company.
Earlier this year, her dream came true when she got to work with Adam Copeland. Willow Nightingale teamed with Copeland on the April 17 edition of AEW Dynamite to face the House of Black. Although they ended up on the losing side, Nightingale remembers this match fondly.
During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's senior editor, Bill Apter, Nightingale reflected on teaming with Copeland. She stated that it was surreal since she had admired him and his wife, Beth Phoenix, growing up. She also noted that he was being missed while being away on an injury hiatus.
"Bananas! Bananas! I grew up watching him on my television and you know his wife is another person I admire. So, to be in proximity even to them like when Adam [Copeland] first joined AEW, I was like 'This is so cool'. I had his intro music stuck in my head for a week. I was going around singing it to everyone everywhere all the time. I was playing it in my car and then that opportunity kind of presented itself. I was like, 'There's no way. This isn't my life.'' But it is but it's not some crazy dream. It is my reality and so that was very cool and I hope he's healing on up well 'cause he's missed," she said. [6:50 - 7:35]

Adam Copeland is absent from AEW television due to injury
Adam Copeland was involved in a heated feud with the House of Black earlier this year. This culminated in a battle for his TNT Championship. He defended his title in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black.
During the bout, Copeland went for a dive off the top of the steel cage and landed awkwardly. He not only managed to finish the match but he was able to defeat Malakai Black and retain the title. However, this marked the end of his reign as TNT Champion, as he had to take time off due to injury. Since then, he has not been seen on AEW television.
It will be interesting to see whether Adam Copeland goes after the TNT Championship once again, upon returning to the ring in the near future.
