Female AEW star has ruthless comeback to 34-year-old's online post
A top star from AEW's women's division has viciously roasted a 34-year-old colleague of hers on social media. The two individuals in question, Kris Statlander and John Silver, have been part of the Tony Khan-led promotion since almost its inception.
Statlander is one of the most popular and promising wrestlers currently employed by All Elite Wrestling. The New York native is seemingly intent on regaining her TBS Championship from Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, and is gearing up to face off against the latter's ally, Kamille, on AEW Dynamite this week.
John Silver, on the other hand, has been competing sporadically on All Elite programming as of late, primarily alongside his Dark Order stablemates Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds. The three men unsuccessfully challenged Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta for the AEW World Trios Championship earlier this month at Battle of the Belts XII.
Days ahead of Halloween, Silver took to X/Twitter to ask his followers for horror movie recommendations. Statlander, who has a history of social media banter with Johnny Hungee, responded to Silver's post with a witty but brutal roast.
"Any John silver match," Kris Statlander shared.

Kris Statlander explained why she is going after AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone
Viewers of All Elite Wrestling were somewhat surprised when Kris Statlander seemingly became involved in a program with Mercedes Mone and Kamille. The 29-year-old star had been playing a heel heading into her Street Fight against Willow Nightingale at All Out 2024, after having turned against her long-time friend earlier this year at AEW Double or Nothing, where The CEO made her debut and dethroned Nightingale for the TBS Championship.
In a video package that aired this month on AEW Rampage, Statlander revealed her motivations behind going after Mone, discussing how the latter's arrival had affected her relationship with Nightingale and subsequently led her to associate with Stokely Hathaway:
"When you make a change, you need to think where you went wrong or how you got there. For me, everything went wrong when Mercedes Mone showed up. My best friend became obsessed with her. I let Stokely get in my ear and I got led down the wrong path. I didn't know who I was, but I did what I needed to do. And on the five-year anniversary of Dynamite, I was reminded of who I am. I became a born-again Kristen. And I am the biggest, baddest, strongest woman in AEW. I'm coming for Mercedes Mone and her TBS Title."
It remains to be seen if Kris will reach one step closer to her goal by defeating Kamille this week on Dynamite.
