Forgotten star finally returning to AEW TV for the first time in 729 days

AEW has finally announced the much-awaited return of Abadon after a 729-day absence from television.

The 31-year-old star has been away from weekly programming since the October 27 episode of Rampage in 2021. She lost to Dr. Britt Baker in a ‘Trick or Treat’ match that night and hadn't been seen on television ever since. Although Abadon did wrestle several times on Dark and Elevation, she never got involved in a meaningful feud.

During the latest episode of Dynamite, the company announced a high-stakes fatal-four-way clash featuring Abadon, Willow Nightingale, Sky Blue, and Anna Jay for Rampage this week.

The winner of that match will receive a shot at Hikaru Shida's AEW Women's World Championship.

Hikaru Shida has been brimming with confidence since knocking Saraya (fka Paige) off her perch to become a first-ever three-time Women's Champion on Dynamite: Title Tuesday.

Last night, she successfully defended her title against Ruby Soho. With Full Gear pay-per-view right around the corner, it will be interesting to see who will be her next challenger.

Will The Living Dead Girl stake her claim at the Women's World Championship? Fans will have to tune into Rampage this Friday.
