Former AEW champion knocked out on Collision
A former AEW TNT Champion lost his match after getting knocked out in the main event of Collision. The star failed to secure his third win in the ongoing tournament.
The former AEW Champion is Darby Allin, who squared off against Claudio Castagnoli in the Continental Classic Gold League match on Collision. Ahead of this match, Allin had two wins in the league, including a big win over Will Ospreay last Wednesday on Dynamite.
The main event on AEW Collision was a hard-hitting brawl, as Darby also has some bad blood with Claudio's Death Riders group. Allin performed some crazy, scary-looking spots throughout the match and refused to give up multiple times. However, Castagnoli distracted the referee in the end and knocked Darby out with brass knuckles to register the win.
Following his win, Claudio Castagnoli attempted to attack Darby with two steel chairs, but Will Ospreay showed up to save the day. Meanwhile, Darby Allin still has only six points in the Gold League, with two wins and two losses.
Darby will take on Ricochet in his last league match next Wednesday on Dynamite. It remains to be seen if Darby Allin manages to reach the semi-finals with a win.
