Former AEW champion reacts after sneaky attack on Mercedes Monè (fka Sasha Banks) at Dynamite 250
A former AEW champion recently reacted to her sneak attack on Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, on Dynamite 250, an ambush that was acknowledged by wrestling legend Sting. The talent in question is Britt Baker.
The D.M.D. made her return to All Elite Wrestling after Mercedes Mone's victory over Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door 2024, a win that saw The CEO become a double champion. Baker has confronted Mone multiple times since then, and issued a challenge to her for a bout at AEW All In 2024, which Mercedes has not accepted so far.
On the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite this week, Mercedes defended her TBS Championship successfully against Nyla Rose. After the match, Mone confronted a fan sporting a Sting mask and holding a Britt Baker sign, which the former IWGP Women's Champion proceeded to destroy. The fan, it turned out, was a disguised Baker, who unmasked herself and shoved Mone to the floor. The Pennsylvania native tried to get her hands on The CEO but was held back by security.
The tactic used by Baker to trick Mone was taken out of the playbook of WCW legend Sting, who recently reacted to The D.M.D.'s tribute to him on social media. Taking to her Instagram, Baker shared The Icon's story, where he had posted a clip of her sneak attack on the former Sasha Banks on Dynamite. Baker's story included an animated avatar of Sting at the bottom, referencing the former AEW World Tag Team Champion once again.

Fans would be patiently waiting to see the rivalry between Mone and Baker build up further.
Mercedes Mone claimed that Britt Baker has been harassing her after AEW Dynamite 250
While Sting may have enjoyed Britt Baker outsmarting Mercedes Mone to take her out on the July 17, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite, the latter had an understandably contrasting response to the incident.
On the heels of Dynamite 250, Mone went on social media to lash out at Baker. Taking to X/Twitter, The CEO addressed her rival as a "fan" and appealed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Executive Chairman of X, Elon Musk, to presumably take some kind of action against The D.M.D.
"[angry emoji] I'm being harassed by this fan. @FBI @elonmusk SOS," Mercedes Mone shared.
It remains to be seen if Baker vs. Mone will be made official ahead of AEW All In 2024.
