Former AEW champion victimized; tied up and attacked
A top AEW star was assaulted by a faction on Dynamite tonight. The star being discussed is none other than Orange Cassidy. Last year, he defended his International Championship against Jon Moxley at Full Gear. On Saturday, he will face his biggest enemy again at this year's Full Gear.
The go-home Dynamite before the pay-per-view was packed with huge matches. Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy will headline the show, with the AEW World Championship on the line. Over the past few weeks, The One True King has attacked the Freshly Squeezed star's friends. On tonight's Dynamite, Cassidy faced his former best friend, Wheeler Yuta, who is part of the Death Riders.
The match saw both the stars trying to take down each other in an intense bout. During the climax of the main event. Wheeler Yuta applied the Cattle Mutilation but the former International Champion cleverly won via a roll-up. Following the victory, Jon Moxley and company disrupted his celebration and attacked him.
In the aftermath of the main event, PAC tied Orange with tape, with his hands in his pockets in his customary fashion. The entire faction circled him and shoved him back and forth before the world champion knocked him out with a punch and then walked out together. Despite being constantly attacked, Cassidy stood tall in the ring to end the show.
It will be interesting to see who will reign as the AEW World Champion when the Full Gear pay-per-view ends.
