Former AEW names set for blockbuster WWE return at Bad Blood

Two former AEW names have been announced for a blockbuster WWE return at Bad Blood. The premium live event will take place on October 5 in Atlanta.

The two names in question are Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. The veterans were vital parts of AEW, as they had their say in many matters. Anderson was deeply involved with Cody Rhodes, and Tully had stints managing FTR and the Tully Blanchard Enterprises.

Blanchard and Anderson left the company in 2022 and 2024, respectively. Arn returned to WWE and appeared at SummerSlam this year before Cody Rhodes’ match against Solo Sikoa. He has now taken to Twitter to announce that he will be there at Bad Blood along with his friend.

He posted a message and said that he would return to familiar surroundings tomorrow and would be an honor to walk the halls with his friend again. He captioned the post:

“See you at #WWEBadBlood.”

Former AEW star Arn Anderson on how things have changed in WWE

Arn Anderson and his son were backstage during WWE SummerSlam 2024 and got to click a picture with Triple H.

Anderson has now revealed the company's mood backstage and praised Triple H for changing things around. In an interview with Foundation Radio, he said:

“I saw Cody first, then I saw the Undertaker, then I saw Randy Orton. These are all people that I was there for their growth and everything, and it was a different atmosphere. Everybody was smiling, everybody was happy, and it was a different company. So kudos to whatever changes Hunter and company that have made this the atmosphere that it is. Will I do anything back with them? I don’t know.”

It will be interesting to see in what capacity the two former AEW stars will return to WWE tomorrow.
