Former AEW star reacts to Erick Rowan's emotional tribute to Bray Wyatt and Brodie Lee on WWE RAW

Erick Rowan recently paid an emotional tribute to both Bray Wyatt and Brodie Lee on WWE RAW. A former AEW star has now reacted to this tribute.

Matt Hardy is the latest to weigh in on Rowan's promo on RAW. After sending cryptic and creepy messages for several months, the Wyatt Sicks finally showed up on the red brand a couple of weeks ago, leaving behind a wake of destruction. Since then, two members have unmasked themselves and spoken out. First, it was Bo Dallas who spoke about losing his brother, Bray Wyatt.

Last week on RAW, Erick Rowan gave an emotional promo in which he mentioned how it felt to lose two of his best friends in Bray Wyatt and Brodie Lee in such a short span of time.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, wrestling legend Matt Hardy gave Rowan his flowers for delivering such a powerful and emotional promo.

"It was emotional," Hardy said. "It got you invested. And you're seeing the pain of these real people, and why they are motivated to do what they do and become the Wyatt Sicks and become a family. And...I knew his case was going to be a tearjerker right from the jump. Brodie, one of his best friends, and Bray, one of his other best friends, both gone, which is just unfathomable if you think about that." [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

Erick Rowan started his WWE career alongside Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt as part of the Wyatt Family. However, only one of them remains, as both Lee and Wyatt passed away in recent years due to their respective illnesses.

Matt Hardy feels Erick Rowan should tap into his emotional side

Last week on WWE RAW was one of the few times where Rowan looked vulnerable, which made his promo all the more believable. This should also resonate and connect with the fans, which will benefit the group in the long run.

Speaking on the same podcast episode, Matt Hardy mentioned that Erick Rowan should tap into this emotion to become the monster he is capable of being.

"Two of the closest people that you lean on the most in life, that you talk to every single day, that are your brothers. And those people, to be gone from your life...so he really...you could tell as he was speaking, that it really did, it strikes a very emotional and sad chord in him, about how much pain and how much hurt there is from losing those two. And I think tapping into that makes that character seem so much more. I think it gives him such a great reason to eat his spinach, or hulk up and become the monster he becomes with the Wyatt Sicks." It remains to be seen if the Wyatt Sicks will be able to continue to captivate audiences with their raw, authentic promos.
