Former AEW star shockingly returns to Tony Khan's promotion
A former AEW star who left the promotion last year made a surprise appearance in the Tony Khan-led ROH this week. He wrestled in a tag team match upon his comeback.
The former AEW star in question is none other than Fuego Del Sol. He was signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion from 2020 to 2023. Since his departure last June, the luchador has been performing on the independent wrestling scene as a free agent. Many fans have been hoping to see him back on All Elite Wrestling programming.
Tonight, Fuego Del Sol showed up in the Tony Khan-led Ring of Honor. He teamed up with Top Flight, Action Andretti, and Komander to defeat the team of Iron Savages, Anthony Henry, Jacked Jameson, and Nick Comoroto in a multi-man tag team match during this week's ROH tapings.
Del Sol's latest match marked his first-ever in-ring appearance in ROH and his first bout in AEW since February 2023.
Despite his comeback, there is no news of Fuego Del Sol possibly signing a new contract with AEW or ROH as of now. Del Sol is known to have a lot of friends in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Only time will tell whether Tony Khan will offer a new deal to the luchador.
